Ike's Story
In February of 2009, we found out that God had blessed us with a child. That May, we found out that it was a boy. We would name him after his great-great-grandfather, Isaac. We decorated his room with woodland animals, and bought lots of boys' clothes. We could not wait to have a little boy running around the house. His mother went in for a routine checkup at 36 weeks. There was no heartbeat.
Isaac Lee Willett was stillborn the following day, September 22, 2009. We laid his body to rest at Marble Park Cemetery in Milan. We will always cherish the short amount of time that we were able to share with him, but we know that we will be united with him in Heaven. In the aftermath of his passing, we were blown away by the amount of love and support that we were given by friends, family, and strangers alike.
Although it was the most difficult time of our lives, we were able to make it through with the support of others and our faith in God. Our goal is to honor the life of our perfect little boy and to show others the love and support that we were shown.
Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” Matthew 19:14
